  • Three Hands Press -- publisher of texts on traditional witchcraft, folk magic, and the crooked path. Beautifully produced limited editions.
  • Scarlet Imprint -- fine and talismanic editions of texts on magic, witchcraft, and the esoteric arts. Their books are objects of devotion in themselves.

  • The Order of the Good Death -- founded by Caitlin Doughty, advocating for death acceptance and reform of Western funeral practices. Their website includes essays, resources, and a directory of death-positive professionals.
  • The Natural Death Centre -- UK charity supporting natural burials and home funerals. Practical advice alongside philosophical advocacy for reclaiming deathcare from the corporate funeral industry.

Witchcraft & Paganism

Museums & Collections

  • The Pitt Rivers Museum -- Oxford. An extraordinary anthropological collection with significant holdings related to magic, amulets, divination, and death customs from around the world. The "Treatment of Dead Enemies" display case alone is worth the trip.

  • Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum -- Glasgow. Houses a significant collection of arms and armour alongside Egyptian artefacts including mummification materials, as well as a strong natural history collection relevant to the Nature & Folklore section.
